Building Science Professional - IAQ/Mold Specialist

We are seeking a Building Science Professional with a strong passion for mold assessments, indoor air quality, and environmental health. The ideal candidate will have building systems, moisture intrusion, and air quality testing expertise. This role will involve conducting site investigations, diagnosing IAQ issues, interpreting data, and providing comprehensive recommendations to clients, including those with mold-related health concerns.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct environmental/industrial hygiene field sampling, using various sampling equipment and techniques
- Prepare and analyze samples in the lab and field with a phase contrast microscope
- Write reports from field observations and data analysis
- Provide secondary support to EcoSafe Environmental Scientists, including environmental investigations and environmental project assistance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in environmental science, industrial hygiene, or related field required
- One year of environmental testing/industrial hygiene and/or OSHA experience, including hazardous materials, specifically conducting asbestos, lead and/or mold sampling preferred, but not required
- Must be able to lift/carry 50-pound equipment and climb multiple flights of stairs/tall ladders when necessary
- Proficient writing, computer and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record without restrictions, and reliable transportation
